Hello! My name is Jack Breezley and I am 20 years old, a student athlete, ski mountaineer, and trail runner!

I grew up in Durango, Colorado, but attend Western Colorado University in Gunnison, Colorado. I am pursuing an Masters in Business Administration with emphasis on Outdoor Industry. I race for my school’s trail running and skimo teams, as well as Tailwind Nutrition.

I’ve been fortunate to travel and compete internationally and at an elite level at such a young age. I’ve raced for the US National Skimo team at the 2023 World Championship. I’ve placed in the top results from Canada to Austria for both skimo and trail running.

I love moving fast and freely in the mountains. Trail Running, Ski Mountaineering, and everything in between allow me to do so. I aim to use this blog to document more of my adventures and have a platform to share them with you.

And if you were wondering about who Johnny Hesperus is, well he’s me! It’s a funny nickname with an even funnier origin story which if you know, you know.
